I started taking Pure Barre pilates classes last month (after finding a Groupon for a month of unlimited classes), and it’s my new all-time favorite workout. I haven’t been in the gym in a LONG time, and literally, after my first workout, I felt a difference in my core. A month later, my core is getting stronger, my abs feel pretty solid, and I see some definition. I’m hooked.
What To Wear to a Pure Barre Class
Pure Barre is a very challenging workout, but I feel like wearing cute workout outfits helps keep me motivated (also, the results are GIVING). When I decided to start my classes, I needed to get some new workout clothes (including the pilates grip socks, which are required for Pure Barre). I especially needed new workout pants, as you can’t wear shorts, etc. to the classes.
After looking around for some affordable options, I found some really cute workout clothes at H&M, Old Navy, and Amazon. Amazon also has some really cute Lululemon dupes (which I compared to the pieces in store at Lululemon, and chile they’re looking reallll similar).
My Fave Workout Outfits
Sports Bras & a LuluLemon Align Dupe!
I love this silver sports bra that I picked up from Old Navy. It’s super comfortable, and I love how it shines. The pink sports bra / crop top from Amazon is a great dupe for the Align tank top from Lululemon. I compared them in the store, and the look and feel are really similar.
Tops & Hoodies
I’m obsessed with these dry-move sports crop tops from the H&M activewear collection. They’re moisture-wicking tops, that are super stretchy and comfortable. They’re only $13, and I’m not even gon’ hold you, I bought 3. I get warm pretty quickly during class, so hoodies are usually just to get me in and out of the building.
Pants
The high-waist sports leggings from H&M quickly became some of my favorites. They’re also very stretchy, and they come in a bunch of different colors.
Jumpsuits
One thing about me, I love a good jumpsuit to serve body-ody-ody. The viral Old Navy Powersoft Performace bodysuit is one of my faves for a pilates class. When I wear it, I look and feel snatched (boosting my workout confidence), it’s comfortable, and everything stays in place while I’m working out. It also has a built-in sports bra.
H&M has some great activewear jumpsuits as well, and I love the black and grey DryMove seamless jumpsuit I wore on TikTok. It has a lot of stretch, but it also has some compression action going on.
So there you have it, that’s what I wear to my Pure Barre Pilates Classes! Where do you like to buy your workout clothes? Have you tried Pure Barre? Let me know in the comments!
Stylishly Yours,
Theresa Seyi
