I love a good spring/summer baddie outfit. This racer jacket from the Pretty Little Thing X Dearra edit is one of those casual pieces that are perfect for those kinds of looks. Because it features classic colors, it’s really easy to style throughout all seasons. It’s almost summer, but the nights are still chilly in my area. This makes this racer jacket a great piece for a night out when it’s cooler.
Quick Tip: Styling an oversized piece like the racer jacket with fitted, shorter, or sexier pieces creates a nice balance.
I got the jacket in a size 6 (my normal size at Pretty Little Thing), as it’s oversized. I styled it with a white tank top (a summer essential!) and black leather shorts from Zara (similar shorts linked below). The white tank is made of a dressy and stretchy material, which helps to elevate the look.
I chose black leather shorts to make this look feel extra cool and sexy. The look also works with black denim shorts though. So I could swap them out for black leather pants or red leather pants in the cooler months. Or even sweatpants in the same colors (if I want to lean into a casual vibe). I’d still wear them with heels though lol, y’all know how I get down over here.
For accessories, I wore my black YSL Monogram clutch that I got in Hawaii, and converted into a crossbody bag. I also wore a rhinestone tennis bracelet from TJMaxx, black polarized shades from Quay, and my favorite designer-inspired padlock heels.
