Looking for versatile pair of sneakers that will go with everything? Here’s what you need: a low white platform sneaker. I’m slowly embracing the sneaker world, but I’ve always kept a pair of these in my closet. They’re a wardrobe essential for me because they will literally go with any outfit. If I want to add a casual touch to an outfit that I’d normally wear heels with, I can throw on these sneakers for a crisp but casual look. Ideally, you want a pair that has a leather or faux leather upper for a more polished look (also, I hate trying to clean canvas sneakers, lol).
Sneakers in this style are super versatile because they’re neutral, basic, and casual but not too relaxed. You can find sneakers in a similar style at many different price points (like this $18 pair from Missguided), so there are budget-friendly options. I have learned that when possible, it’s better to invest a little more in footwear that you plan to wear a lot—quality over quantity.
Quick Outfits To Style White Sneakers With
With a basic T and jeans for weekend errands (or work)
A satin blouse and leather pants for dressy-casual night out
With a cute satin slip dress (like the one I styled below in my brunch outfits lookbook, check out the next to last slide), an anklet, and a cute purse.
Nike Air Force 1’s are probably the most classic sneaker in this style and are a staple in the culture. My favorite take on them is the Air Force 1 Pixel (Retail: $100 USD).
Another great option would be the Air Force 1 Sage Low’s (Retail $100 USD)
How To Keep Your White Sneakers Clean
In addition to this, with white sneakers, it’s essential to keep them clean. I recently found this sneaker cleaner by KIWI for $6 at Walmart, and I’ve been using it on all my sneakers.
Add Some Accessories!
Lastly, don’t forget to have some fun and accessorize your sneakers. Personally, I really like rhinestone anklets. I ordered a few from AliExpress a few years back for $0.99, and I still have them. You can also add custom charms to the laces of your sneakers for a little extra flair.
