I’ve wanted to try doing my own ombre nails at home, and I started looking for the right polishes and brushes. Then I saw the new ombre XCoatTip nails that BTArtBox dropped on Amazon and got them instead. I’m so glad I did because they look so good and made it so easy to do ombre gel nails at home. Check out my tutorial to see how I did my nails step by step.
The ombre nails by BTArtBox come in both nude and pink color variations. You can also get them in different lengths and sizes. I bought the square nude option in the extra short length. I wasn’t sure if they would be too short as I have long nail beds, but I easily found sizes that worked for me. This set of nails was about $29, that’s a great deal since it comes with enough nails to do multiple sets of nails.
I’ve purchased a bunch of different XCoatTip nails from BTArtBox on Amazon, and I’ve never been disappointed.

I’m gonna have to spin the block for the long square version of these nails too.
Builder Gel & Pearlescent Top Coat
Since the nails come with the ombre design already done, all that’s left to do is add builder gel and top coat. I used my go-to builder gel by BTArtBox, and finished it off with the “Cherub” topcoat from the Aprés Nail Heavenly collection. It’s a pearlescent topcoat with a pinky-peach tone. It looks beautiful when the light hits it. I did one coat of each polish, and cured each coat for 60 seconds under my LED/UV nail lamp.

Basically I like to make my own press on nails using gel nails, and then I glue them on. My go-to glue is the Beauty Secrets Drip and Clog Proof Nail Glue from Sally Beauty.
