My friends at Beetles sent me their 25-color fall-winter gel polish set to use for my winter nail set. The set includes some pretty pinks, blues, purples, and neutral shades that would be great year-round. Base gel, glossy top coat, and matte top coat are also included, so you have everything you need to do your nails. I added builder gel since I’m making press on nails.

I decided to use chrome powder for the first time, and I think it looked great over the polishes I chose. Check out my TikTok below to see how I did these winter nails, step-by-step!

What I Used for These Winter Nails:

Nails

I used my peach-long square X-Coat Tip Nails by BTArtBox for this set. They’re only available on the BTArtBox website, but they have this style in brown (shown above) and pink on Amazon.

Beetles Gel Polish Set

I used three shades from this fall-winter colors gel polish set by Beetles. A skin tone shade (french tip base), a light purple (for a deep v french tip), light pink, and light blue. I did two coats of each shade, curing each coat for 99 seconds.

Chrome Powder

To give my nails that icy winter effect, I used this sheer silver pearl effect chrome powder that I got in this $2 set from SHEIN. This is my first time working with chrome powder, so I was prepared for a learning experience lol. I applied top coat to the French tip portion of my nails, and all over my accent nails. After curing for 60 seconds, I went over the nails with the chrome powder.

Nail Charms and Stickers

Using rhinestone glue, I added silver bow nail charms to my nails that had the french tip. On my accent nails, I added snowflake motif nail stickers.

Builder Gel

To strengthen my press on nails, I applied a coat of builder gel by BTArtBox which I cured for 60 seconds. I followed that up with a coat of the glossy top coat from the Beetles gel polish set, which I also cured.
