I wanted to do some cute spring nails to match the outfit I recently wore to a YouTube event. I used pastel shades like butter yellow, lavender, and light blue that coordinated with my spring outfit. The Nails I Used
I used the extra thick medium square nails that Novo Ovo gifted me awhile back. These are my favorite plain nails as they fit my natural nails really well. The first time I used them, they stayed on for two weeks!
Gel Polishes
After applying Beetles base gel to the nails, I used a shade from Beetles skintone gel polishes on most of the nails. Then I used a lavender color and a light blue color for the two accent nails on each hand.
Blooming Gel Nail
For my blooming gel nails, I applied Beetles blooming gel followed by a butter yellow shade called “I Shine, U Shine” by DND Gel. Then I cured the nails for 90 seconds under my nail lamp.
Cat Eye Polish & Chrome
For my cat eye polish nails, I used two coats of blue 9D cat eye gel polish by Born Pretty. I applied and cured the first coat, then used the magnet before I cured my second coat. After curing it, I applied Beetles top coat (which I cured for 30 seconds) so I could add orange reflective chrome to these nails too. I used the same chrome over my lavender nails as well.
Rhinestones
I decided to outline some of my skintone nails with lavender and blue gel polish to match my accent nails. I also trimmed the nails with rhinestones using Makartt rhinestone glue.
Builder Gel & Top Coat
To finish up my nails, I applied a coat of builder gel and top coat by BTArtBox. I cured each coat for 60 seconds under my nail lamp.
Nail Glue
To apply my nails I used my favorite nail glue, which is the Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue from Sally Beauty.
