I’ve been on the hunt for more black-owned fashion brands to support, and when I came across the Designer Inspired Onesies (Retail: $45 USD) on Every Girlz Obsession (E.G.O), I had to have one. Or two.
I ordered this cute Dior inspired onesie, and the black Chanel inspired onesie (pictures coming soon). While yes they are intended to be sleepwear (super cute sleepwear might I add), I felt like I could definitely style them with an outfit or two as well because they’re made out of a super stretchy material (10% spandex and 90% polyester to be specific) so the material doesn’t look specifically like sleepwear.
If you saw me out in the streets, you definitely wouldn’t think I was in my pajamas. Periodt.
I ordered mine in a size M, and it fits comfortably (however it does pull a little in my chest area if I button it all the way up. My measurements are right at the intersection between Medium and Large on their size chart) and serves BAWDY. These onesies are super curve-hugging and figure-flattering, so they are definitely getting added to my cute PJ’s draw as well.
My strategy for being able to pull off this onesie as an out-and-about outfit, is pairing it with pieces that are dressier, detailed / embellished, and structured.
I opted to style it with a black leather skirt that I picked up during the Zara sale (which I currently only see online in green and pink, to find the black one I suggest trying in-store. Also they had this skirt last year as well, so I feel like they’ll probably bring it back), and some black rhinestone evening sandals (old, from Miss Lola), along with a black rhinestone headband (old from H&M, but again here’s an alternative I found on Amazon for between $10) to put the bougie in bad and bougie.
