Back when I was trying to get my skincare routine together, I realized that I needed to replace my go-to facial cleanser. The one that I was using at the time seemed to be really drying out my skin (I have oily skin, and my face was starting to feel really dry and stripped). I wanted to find something that would be gentle, yet effective at cleansing my skin without leaving it feeling stripped. Skinfix’s Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser came to my rescue.
I remembered being given a sample of a facial cleanser at the first Gen Beauty in New York years ago (and liking it), so I decided to slide over to Sephora to invest in a full-size bottle. Sis, I haven’t looked back since.
Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser (Retail $28 USd)
According to the product info on Sephora’s website, this cleanser works well for all skin types and can help address skincare concerns like redness, dryness, and dullness. After using the cleanser for well over a year now, I can definitely say that my skin never feels dried out or stripped after using it (which I feel like is setting me up for success for the rest of my skincare routine). It’s a very lightweight cleanser, that foams and lathers as you use it. Don’t forget to cleanse for 60 seconds! (S/O to LA Beautyologist for putting us on)
The Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser is also on Sephora’s “Clean at Sephora” list, meaning that it’s formulated without sulfates, phthalates, and parabens. The reason why I love this cleanser so much, it because it really does what it claims: gently cleanses my skin, without leaving it feeling stripped. I’ve tried a few cleansers over time with similar claims, and I’ve yet to try anything else that thoroughly fulfills its promises.
If you’re looking for a cleanser to add to your skincare routine that will gently clean your skin, without leaving it feeling stripped I definitely recommend trying out the Skinfix Barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser. I’ve also seen it pop up from time to time as a reward redemption option at Sephora (usually for about 100 points), and I grab a couple when I seem them as well for travel purposes.
What’s your go-to facial cleanser? Have you tried any of the products by Skinfix? Let me know in the comments!
Stylishly Yours,
Theresa Seyi
