Perfume Playground: Exploring Valentino’s Born In Roma Collection

My friends at Valentino Beauty gifted me some perfumes from their Born In Roma collection. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I like the original Donna Born In Roma by Valentino Beauty, and I was excited to see which flanker (new/other versions of an existing perfume) I’d like best. I got to try Born In Roma Intense, Born In Roma Coral and Born in Roma Green Stravaganza. You can shop the entire Born In Roma Perfume collection now at Sephora.

While I like and would wear all three of the new scents, I have a current favorite. Spoiler Alert: Check out my TikTok below to see my review of Born In Roma Green. Here are my thoughts on the fragrances in the collection:

The OG: Valentino Born In Roma

Donna Born In Roma has notes of Jasmine Sambac, Cashmeran, and Vanilla Bourbon. This warm floral perfume is loved by many (including myself), as it’s a great sweet floral fragrance. If you haven’t checked it out before, it’s one of those scents everyone should try at least once.

My Favorite: Born In Roma Green

Born In Roma Green Stravaganza is a warm floral with notes of: Lapsang Tea, Jasmine, and Vanilla Extract. It smells alluring, woody, and slightly spicy but sweet. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you want to get closer for a better whiff. I can see myself wearing this frequently on nights out. In my opinion, it smells like the most unique twist on the original.

Perfect For Fall: Born In Roma Intense

Born In Roma Intense has notes of Vanilla Bourbon, Trio of Jasmine, and Benzoin Resin. It’s a deep, layered, and sexy scent that would be great for date nights. This feels like the perfume that you reach for when you want to feel super sexy. If you like Gentle Fluidity Gold by Maison Francis Kurkdijan and Vanilla, I think you’d like this. If I had to pick my top two from the new releases, it would be Green Stravaganza and this one.

Born In Roma Coral

Born In Roma Coral has notes of Orange, Rose Accords, and Jasmine. It feels like the lightest and most subtle take on the original scent, which would make it great for daytime. The citrus note is subtle, which lends to the airy and subtly sweet feel of this perfume.
