Hawaii Outfits: What I Wore On Vacation
I spent five days in O’ahu, Hawaii to celebrate my 30th birthday, and I made sure that my vacation outfits were on point. Ya girl did not know the meaning of the word casual on this trip, lol. I had a wonderful time in O’ahu! Stay tuned for my vlog and Hawaii travel guide. Did I mention my roundtrip tickets were like $350?!
What the weather is like in Hawaii in February
Most of the locals I spoke to mentioned that the weather was cooler in February. However, I’m from New England, so the 70-degree temperature was essentially summer to me, lol. As a winter baby, I never got to experience any summer fun on my birthday, so I was very excited about this girl’s trip. I had plans to hit the beach, go to dinner, sight-see and do a lot of shopping!
I noticed immediately upon my arrival that they have frequent sunshowers, that are very light and only last a few minutes. They also happen at night too. However, it’s not enough to require an umbrella or mess up your look though.
My Hawaii Outfits
I got a lot of requests for links for my Hawaii Outfits, so I rounded up all my looks in this blog post. Let me know which look is your favorite, and hopefully, this gives you some vacation outfit ideas.
Floral Maxi Dress
I wore this floral maxi dress to dinner in Waikiki, and it was the perfect vacation dinner dress. It flowed nicely in the Hawaii breeze, and it was effortless to accessorize. It has a low back and laces up to close. It’s super flowy and has a sexy slit in the front as well. Last summer,
Last summer, I got this “In The Garden Floral Maxi Dress from Fashion Nova. A lot of stuff at Fashion Nova eventually re-stocks, so it’s worth getting on the waiting list. I’ve also seen a couple of listings for it on Poshmark. I accessorized this look with my Louis Vuitton 26 Toiletry Pouch (Discontinued, but here’s one for a reasonable price on Tradesy), and gold strappy evening sandals.
Red Fringe Pants
I WAS OBSESSED when I saw these red fringe pants on the Mina Monroe website. I thought it would be the perfect outfit for the sunset cruise in Waikiki that I found here on Groupon ($60 for two people!). While they are technically a sweatpant material, the fringes are giving FASHION. I love to find different ways to step up sweatpants. The pants are super long (probably a 35″ inseam) with smaller slits on the inside of the leg.
I bought them in the Candy Apple Red straight leg option in a size M (Retail $109). To make the look a little sexy, I styled it with a deep side cut-out red bodysuit from Fashion Nova (On sale for $8, size M). I accessorized again with the gold heels, gold polarized Quay High Key shades, and Louis Vuitton pouch.
Green Ruched ShirtDress
For our luxury shopping day over at the Ala Moana Center, I decided to wear this green ruched shirtdress from Fashion Nova (Retail $27, Size M). I liked that it was simple and accentuated my shape. It was the perfect outfit for shopping (post coming up soon on this! Spoiler: what’s better than one YSL bag? TWO!), and I switched into these gold rhinestone sandals (Retail $15) to walk around the shopping center.
I accessorized the look with these gold mirrored sandals by Quay. I got a LOT of questions about my hair on Instagram, and I’m wearing the Sensationnel What Lace Chelsea unit in color Balayage Mocha.
Gold Satin Two Piece Set
I’ve been waiting to wear this gold satin two piece set from Fashion Nova for a HOT MINUTE. The luxe pattern is everything, and I love the front cut-out on the top. I bought it in size M. The wide-leg pants are reallllllly long (for reference, I’m 5’9″ and it was still really long on me with heels). I tried to tie the pant legs up with clear elastics because I wanted to wear them so bad lol.
You can’t see it in all of my pictures, but I also wore this $3 gold waist chain from SheIn with this look.
Leopard Print Jumpsuit
During my Black Friday shopping, I got this nude mesh leopard print jumpsuit by Naked Wardrobe from Nordstrom. It wasn’t on sale (and was sold out on the Nakeed Wardrobe website), but it was giving, so I got it lol. I bought it in a size M and it has adjustable straps.
I accessorized it with black evening sandals and a rhinestone tennis necklace from TJMaxx!
Aretha T-Shirt & Denim Cutoffs
This Aretha Franklin concert graphic T from Fashion Nova is really cute, and I wore it with denim cut-off shorts (old from Zara, similar here on Amazon) and a bucket hat. I added orange strappy heels from SheIn (Retail $24) to accentuate the pop of orange on the shirt. I switched into flat rhinestone sandals again for our trip to the Dole Plantation.
Green Satin Dress
On our last night in Hawaii, I wanted to wear something that made me feel super tropical. So I decided to go with this green leaf print satin dress I got from Zara last year (also, thanks to those that voted in my Tik Tok and IG poll to help me decide lol). I wore my matching green leaf heels from Ego Official (inspired by the Versace Anthenia heels) for heels. After wearing them a bit more, I suggest gel insoles with these sandals.
I wore a gold nameplate necklace, and a gold cuff to finish off the look.
Amazon Workout 2 Piece Set with Leggings
We decided to check out the famous Diamond Head Trail during our trip, and this two-piece workout set from Amazon (Retail $28) was perfect for it. There is padding in the bra top, and the leggings are super stretchy and comfortable. In addition, the set is figure flattering and is made from a ribbed material.
I also wore my Black Quay High Key Fade shades, and favorite White Air Force 1’s.
Rhinestone Beach Dress Cover Up
This rhinestone dress from Fashion Nova is a show stopper. The front of the dress is made of nude mesh material (completely see-through), and the back is made of satin stretchy material. The entire dress is covered in pearls and small mirror-like ornaments. I felt like it would be the perfect beach cover-up over my bikinis, and I wore it with embellished sandals from Miss Lola along with an oversized sunhat (Retail $14, SheIn).
So there you have it guys, this is the roundup of my Hawaii outfits. I think I might have to do a little something on the swimwear I wore while there too, because it was fire if I do say so myself.
If you need further details on any of my Hawaii outfits, let me know in the comments!
Stylishly Yours,
Theresa Seyi
