My Pink Barbie-Inspired Graduation Outfit

C’mon Barbie, let’s go graduate! I crossed the stage at Tufts yesterday for my Master’s degree commencement, and y’all know I had to bring the Barbie vibes with my graduation outfit. Check out my TikTok below to see how I styled my graduation look.

I looked around EVERYWHERE for the perfect pink outfit for commencement, and I found the perfect outfit at Akira. One of the stylists there pulled this pink checkered cutout blazer dress for me, and I immediately fell in love. I’m wearing it in a size Medium, though I could have sized down. They also only had this one in stock lol, so I was getting it regardless.

Also, I made the pink rhinestone heart brooch out of the $2 Valentine’s Day earrings I got on Ali Express. My medium ballerina Telfar bag was perfect for graduation day, as I had a lot of things I needed to bring with me.

Since the blazer dress is kinda short, I got something to wear underneath it. This way I can move around comfortably during graduation, and not have to think about a wardrobe malfunction. I found this pink tulle skort online at SHEIN, and it seemed like the perfect touch. The pink tulle adds a fun feminine touch, and since it’s a skort I can move around freely.

I styled the blazer dress with these pink tweed embellished platform heels. I’ve been drooling over them since they came in at Akira. They seemed like the perfect touch for my Barbie outfit, and I knew I wanted to wear a platform heel so I’d be comfortable all day during graduation.
