Pink Peppermint Christmas Decorations: Holiday Mirror Garland Tutorial

I love decorating for the holidays, specifically Christmas. Last year, I decorated the full-length mirror in my bedroom, and this year, I wanted to do it again but more festively and fabulously. I had a few ideas, but I went to Walmart recently and found the perfect affordable pink Christmas decorations. I wound up getting everything I’m using to decorate my mirror from Walmart. Here’s what I used:

Festive Holiday Tinsel

This large pink holiday tinsel garland caught my eye as soon as I walked into the store. It’s a 6″ garland from their Holiday Time collection for $10. It comes in pink (featuring two shades of metallic pink), red, and an iridescent option. I used one of each color and wrapped them around my IKEA Hovet Mirror Using Medium Clear Command Hooks.

They also have tinsel picks and a wreath that match the garland. The picks would be great for working with greenery.

Ribbons & Bows

Once I decided on the garland, I went looking for some holiday ribbon that would complement it. I found these velvet red and white “candy cane” inspired bows ($2.97 for a pack of ten), which inspired me to go with a “pink peppermint” vibe for my holiday decorations. I used one pack of the bows and tied them into the garland. To finish off the garland, I wrapped this red plaid glitter ribbon around the tinsel.

Pink Reindeer Rug

How adorable is my holiday rug featuring the pink reindeer? I found it on Temu for just under $20. It comes in a few different sizes, I bought the 20 x 17-inch option. As you can see in my video below, it’s a pretty decent size and looks great with my pink Christmas decorations. Btw, I wouldn’t put this rug in a high-traffic area.

$5 Gold Nutcrackers

I decided to keep the rest of the holiday decorations in my room fairly simple lol. Target has these cute nutcrackers for $5.00. They come in a bunch of different colors and finishes (metallic, glitter, velvet). I got two of the metallic gold nutcrackers to place on my vanity.
