I recently decided I wanted a little more sparkle for the holiday season, so I got a second lobe piercing at Rowan. I’ve only had one piercing in my whole life (ear piercings, which were done when I was a baby), so while I was a little nervous, I was also very excited about my #FiercePierce.

Why Get Pierced at Rowan?
If you’re wondering why I chose Rowan for my new piercings, it’s because of their clinical piercing standard. This means that they have licensed nursing staff who do all the piercings (they currently only offer ear piercings), all the earrings are hypoallergenic, and they recommend specialized aftercare solutions to help you heal smoothly.

What Piercing Jewelry Did I Choose?
Since I can’t change my piercing jewelry for six to eight weeks, I chose earrings that go with everything. I had these 2.5mm 14k Yellow Gold Crystal CZ Flat Back Stud Earrings (Retail $68 each) put in my second lobe piercing. I’m a gold girlie, and the stone will add just enough sparkle to all my looks.
Speaking of sparkle, I picked these Brilliant Basic CZ Huggies for my original piercings to create a simple yet glam ear stack.
How Is My Healing and Aftercare Going?
It’s been just over a week since I got pierced at Rowan, and so far, my healing is going well. My ears were slightly sore the day I got them done, but that was about it. I’ve been mindful not to sleep on my side, or touch my piercing without washing my hands first.
Also, I use the Advanced Ear Cleansing Solution (Retail $20) three times a day to keep my piercings clean.
