My friends at Novo Ovo sent me their square extra thick nails to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Christmas is only a few days away, and my nails are ready for the holidays. I’m starting to get into nail chrome, and I decided to use it for these gingerbread nails. Check out my TikTok below to see how I made these press on nails!
The Nails I Used
Novo Ovo sent me another style of their extra thick nails to try, this time in the square shape. The extra thick nails by Novo Ovo are my favorite Amazon nails to work with because they stay on really well.
The first time I tried them, they stayed on for three weeks without extra prep work. I think they stay on so well firstly because they are pre-etched, and secondly because they hug my nailbeds pretty snug.
Because these are clear plain nails, I started off with a coat of base gel. After it cured, I applied a peachy-tan shade from the Beetles skin tone gel polish set. I followed up with a coat of builder gel and top coat to prepare to try my new nail chrome powder.
$2 Nail Chrome & Gingerbread Nail Stickers
As I’m building up my nail art supplies, I’m starting to get into nail chrome. I got this set of four nail chrome powders for less than $2 on SHEIN. I’m thinking I need to try it again with a different top coat, but it is pretty.
As you’ll see in my tutorial below I did two layers of nail chrome before applying my gingerbread nail stickers. I used this set with the gingerbread men and gingerbread houses, and this set with 5D outline nail stickers.
My Go-To Nail Glue
Once I finished making my press on nails, I applied them with the Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue from Sally Beauty.
