What I Wore Speed Dating: This Leopard Dress Turned Heads
I recently attended my first speed dating event, and I wanted to find the perfect outfit for an early fall date. When I saw this leopard and floral print mesh dress on Fashion Nova (called the “Wild Sensation Leopard Mesh Midi Dress”), I knew it was the perfect look for the evening. The warm brown tones make it a great dress to transition into fall, and since it’s mesh, it’s ideal for a warmer evening. It could be easily styled with a leather trench to make it feel more full on fall.
This dress turned heads all night, and it was the perfect date dress if you’re looking for some sexy yet fun and tasteful.

I’m wearing it in a size small, and I find that it’s true to size, but it was a lil snug on my chest (mainly noticeable because I struggled with the zipper in back once I got to the top. The rest of the dress fit just fine). But it didn’t stop me from adding my Boomba invisible lift inserts (previously gifted to me) underneath, to make sure everything was sitting right.
The Trick To Finding Heels You Can Last All Night In
For shoes, I wore these bronze platform sandals that I purchased from Miss Lola. I’m a heels girl through and through, and I found them to be super comfortable. My trick to picking heels I can comfortably last all night in is to look for a platform heel (so you don’t feel the true heel height difference) with an ankle strap for extra security.
I finished off my look with simple accessories: my script nameplate necklace from AliExpress, a rhinestone tennis bracelet (from TJMaxx), and my old Louis Vuitton 26 Toiletry Pouch.
Finishing Touches: This Body Oil Is a Must-Have!

Last but not least, can we get into this glow?! I used the Vaseline Glazed and Glisten Body Oil in the shade Golden Hour Glow. You can get it on Amazon for under $10, and it had my body GLOWING. I got a lot of compliments on my skin, and how it was glistening, so that is about to be heavy in my rotation. Shoutout to Olandra (from Love Island) for putting us all on!
Did I mention I Made Matching Press ON nails?

I wanted my nails to match my outfit, so I made this press-on nail set. I made this long almond set by freehanding the leopard print, and using floral nail stickers. My tutorial on these nails will be up soon, but you can shop everything I used here on my LTK.
Would I Try Speed Dating Again?
For my first speed dating experience, I had a good time overall. I had a lot of great conversations, and felt very comfortable. The event I went to was curated for people of color 30s-mid 40s, and people were vetted in terms of intentions, etc. This helped to make sure that everyone had a pleasant experience. So given those parameters, yes I’d try speed dating again.
