If you’ve been looking for the perfect glitter gel top coat to make your nails SUPER sparkly, but can’t find anything that’s really hittin’, I think I’ve cracked the code! I’ve seen super glittery French tip nails on my TikTok for you page a lot, but I couldn’t find a glitter top coat or polish that would give me the same look.
Then I came across this transparent glitter cat eye gel polish on Amazon, and it did the trick! Check out my TikTok tutorial below to see how I did my nails at home.
The Nails I used
I used the long, modern french tip nails with the brown base from BTArtBox. For some reason, this style is no longer available. The next closet style would be the long classic French tip nails shown above (also with the brown base). You can grab them here on Amazon or here on the BTArtBox website.
The Star of the Show: Glitter Cat Eye polish
To get the super sparkly effect on my nails, I used this silver transparent glitter cat eye gel polish by Double Rhythm. I used two coats (using the magnet after each coat) and cured each coat under my nail lamp.
Builder Gel & Top Coat
After curing the cat eye polish, I applied one coat of BTArtBox builder gel and top coat. I cured each coat for 60 seconds under my nail lamp.
My Favorite Nail Glue
After I made these glittery press on nails, and did my nail prep routine, I glued them on with the Beauty Secrets Drip & Clog Proof Nail Glue from Sally Beauty. I let the glue dry for at least an hour before I get my hands wet. This helps make sure my nails stay on.
Finishing Touches
After I apply my nails, I like to use cuticle oil as a finishing touch. I like to keep these cuticle oil pens by Melody Susie (from Amazon) in my purse, so I have them on the go.
