Van Cleef Inspired Press On Nails Fly Fierce Fab

I love a good luxe nail set, and these Van Cleef-inspired press on nails I made are so easy to do. I walk you through how I did these nails step-by-step in my new YouTube tutorial, which is super beginner-friendly (below). Here’s the tea on everything I used to do my nails at home!

The Nails I Used

To make these long square press on nails, I used the extra thick long square nails by Novo Ovo. I get mine here on Amazon.

Since these are plain nails, it is important to prep them for polish. I do this by applying one coat of Beetles base gel and curing it under my DND rechargeable nail lamp.

All About that Base

I wanted to go with a nude/neutral shade for my base color, so I used two coats of DND #879 Sunset Suede. This is my go-to sheer nude base for the majority of my nail sets.

Gold Clover Nail Stickers

When I saw these gold clover nail stickers on Amazon, I immediately knew I needed them for a future nail set (btw, they also come in silver). They were perfect for these Van Cleef-inspired nails, as they remind me of their alahambra. These are great quality nail stickers, btw.

I wiped my nails down with rubbing alcohol first to help the nail stickers adhere better. I used this silicone tool to press them down nice and flat.

Gold Holographic Nail Chrome

I wanted to do gold accent nails that played up the luxury vibe of the gold clover nail stickers. So I used this gold holographic nail chrome powder that I got in this set on Amazon. Honestly, it was a bit of trial and error in terms of how long to cure the top coat I used for it under my new nail lamp (anything more than 10 seconds, and it wouldn’t really stick).

Builder Gel + Top Coat

To finish off my nails, I applied a coat of BTArtBox builder gel (mainly to help protect the nail stickers and chrome) and my fave Gaoy top coat.
