When I saw this “Make It Sexy” brown faux leather midi dress on Fashion Nova’s website (Retail: $44.99 before coupons), I immediately fell in love. I really love leather and faux leather pieces, and I especially tend to gravitate towards non-traditional pieces. I feel like everybody goes for the staple leather jacket, but there’s nothing like a sexy pair of leather pants or a leather dress to make you feel like 100% THAT CHICK.
This particular faux leather dress has a lot of stretch to it, so it definitely hugs your curves in all of the right places. This is super important as a woman with some curves, because typically in order for these kinds of pieces to fit me in a flattering way I need either: 1) Bomb tailoring or 2) Stretch.
I wanted to go for a look that was sleek, sexy, and sophisticated so I kept my accessories simple by styling the leather dress with gold strappy evening sandals, my favorite mini gold bag from H&M, gold hoops (also from H&M but not available online), and styling my hair into a high ponytail (my RPGShow wigs never fail me!).
With the first day of fall almost a month away, I’ve also been trying to make a conscious effort to not really buy any more summer clothes and start focusing on the fall and seasonal transition pieces. I feel like this dress would transition well, as when it gets cooler I can just throw on a nude closed toe heel, and a cute jacket or long cardigan sweater and head out to dinner.
