I’ve been trying to play more with mixing prints in my fall outfits, and see what I come up with. When I got this gold sequin mini skirt in my Fall Zara Haul, I immediately knew I wanted to style it with my camo jacket (also from the haul). I like the juxtaposition of a fabulous sequin skirt with a rugged camo jacket. It feels extra fly.
To add to that, I knew I wanted to add a cream graphic t to make the look feel effortlessly cool. So I opted for a cream to complement the earth tone color palette of the jacket without being distracting.
As I started putting the look together, I decided to add my fave thigh-high snakeskin boots (Steve Madden via Poshmark, as they’re a couple of seasons old. Here is a similar pair). Lastly, I added my new mini Michael Kors monogram backpack (I got mine at the outlet for $104, but here is a similar one from their online store). Finally, my gold chain necklace (similar here) is an additional detail that helps to bring in the gold sequin skirt and make this outfit look fully styled. A full-on flex, if you will.
The easiest Way To Wear Mixed Prints
Now, on paper, that sounds like a whole lot of prints and details. Camouflage, sequins, snakeskin, and monogram? All in one outfit? Whew, chile. Here’s why it works: I stuck to the same color palette. Because I stuck to the same color palette, I was able to style these pieces like neutrals and make them work.
