I love a good suit, and suit separates. I do not wear them for my 9-5, but when the occasion arises (or I want to feel extra sophisticated and sexy), I pull one out of my closet. Whenever I wear a suit, I still make sure that I style it in a way that fits my aesthetic: bad, bougie, and budget-friendly.
Where I Buy My Suit Separates
One of my favorite suits came in the form of separates from H&M a couple of years back (similar tagged below). Zara is also a great place to find suiting separates for women. It’s essential that whatever you get fits you well (or get it tailored). You don’t have to spend a lot of money on a suit, and you can find affordable matching separates just about anywhere.
How To Make It Look Sexy
I like to style my suits with more feminine and sexy pieces, like this feathered underbust (corset) I’m wearing from High Maintenace (size M). The white button-down shirt adds a traditional suit vibe, but the corset and nude strappy platform heels make this look fly and feminine (but not too sexy so that you could wear it in different settings).
While the corset is the statement piece, it’s not too over the top. The strappy platform heels help heat things up.
For a sexier look, I’ve also styled this same suit with a lace bodysuit from H&M. This is an easy combo to throw together when you want to take things up a notch. This is a look I’d probably wear on a date, or if I were going to an event with my girls. Again, the bodysuit is the standout sexy piece, while the pointy toe nude heels add a classic and feminine touch.
I like to finish up these kinds of looks with a pair of heels, and a great bag. The key is to juxtapose the structured look of the suit with elements that add a sexy touch. I like to stick to one piece that’s like knockout sexy and keep everything else a little more subtle. As long as your color palate coordinates, you can make these outfit combos work with just about any suit in your closet.
Bonus points if it’s a skirt suit.
