I really wanted a pink heart cake for my birthday this year. When I heard that you can get a heart cake from Walmart for the low, I had to check it out. The Walmart heart cake is 10″ and you can customize it based on some options they give you. Edible glitter was one of the things I added to mine, and in total I paid a little under $29.
It’s important to note that you do need to pre-order these cakes, so plan accordingly. You can order online or in person at a Walmart near you.
Here’s the tea on my exact order, and how the cake tasted!

What I Ordered
There are five different options for the Walmart heart cakes. I went with option five, as it included pearls and rhinestone trim. I requested a vanilla cake (the other option was chocolate), with Bavarian cream (the other choice was strawberry), and buttercream frosting (other option was whipped cream). You can add a message to your cake, but since I ordered a cake topper from Etsy last year I kept my cake plain. Also, I asked that they entire cake be light pink. As I mentioned above, I requested that they add edible glitter as well.
How Did the Cake Taste?
The cake tasted really good! The cake itself was soft and fluffy, the cream was sweet yet not overwhelming, along with the frosting used. Honestly, nobody who tasted it believed I got it from Walmart lol.
I’d definitely get it again next year, so hopefully they’ll bring it back again then too!
Have you tried the heart cake from Walmart? Have you ever ordered from the Walmart Bakery? Let me know in the comments below!
