BTArtBox gifted me nails from their new holiday collection to use in this tutorial. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
With the holidays right around the corner, now is a great time to learn how to do your nails at home or how to make your own press on nails. Not only will it help make sure your nails are on point at all times, but it’ll save you so much money too. Here’s how I used the new glitter base nails from BTArtBox Nails holiday collection for this long stiletto french tip nail set.

Be sure to watch my TikTok tutorial below, where I show you how I prep my nails to make my press ons last!
The Nails I Used
BTArtBox sent me their long stiletto glitter base french tip nails from their new holiday collection. You can really see the glitter base once you add the builder gel. The set comes with three nail cards, allowing you to create three nail sets from a single box. You can easily customize these nails with nail stickers, foils, charms, etc. However, I kept them plain for a simple and classy look.
Where To Buy These Nails
You can purchase these glitter base french tip nails here on Amazon or here on BTArtBox Nails website.
They come in Other Shapes & Styles Too!
The new glitter base french tip nails from BTArtBox come in a bunch of shapes and lengths. I think next time, I’d try the long square nails. I think it’d be pretty if they came out with a glitter nude base option as well.
Builder Gel & Top Coat
Since the french tip design is already done for us, it’s really easy to use these nails to make press ons. After wiping them down with rubbing alcohol, I applied one coat of BTArtBox builder gel and top coat. I cured each coat for 60 seconds under my nail lamp.
How I Prep My Natural Nails
I try to make sure I prep my natural nails well, to make sure my press on nails stay on as long as possible. I typically leave mine on for a week. I’ve used this same prep process on my sister, and hers have lasted about three weeks.
I start by buffing my natural nails with a 240 grit nail buffer, then wiping them down with rubbing alcohol. Next, I apply Apres pH Bonder (dehydrator) and Primer, before I glue on my nails.
Bonus Tip: If you really wanna make sure your nails are locked in, you could go over the inside of your press on nails with a e-file to etch/buff them.
Nail Glue Options
I always use regular nail glue to apply my nails, which allows me to reuse my nails if I want to. If you’re looking for nail glue recommendations, BTArtBox dropped a brush on nail glue, or you could try my fave nail glue by Beauty Secrets (available at Sally Beauty).
