The Best Blend Ever?! ISeeHair Butterfly Cut V-Part Wig Review
I’ve been looking for some cute wigs to upgrade my look for fall, and I kept seeing a really cute wig by ISeeHair on my TikTok for you page. It’s pre-styled (curled and layered beautifully), and the hair texture looks and feels like yaki straight hair.
I chose this specific wig because it comes already layered, which (in my opinion) makes it easier to apply and style out of the box at home. I did opt to get it sewn on at the salon, though, because I had a date lol. Also, I figured having my v-part wig sew in would be faster and easier than getting bundles sewn in (and was!).
Hair Details
I ordered the 24″ Pre-Styled Butterfly Cut V-Part Wig with 250% density from ISeeHair. I ordered the V-part wig option so I could have a little bit of leave-out (to make things look more natural). It’s also available as a U-Part wig, and it comes in lengths ranging from 20″ to 26″. Per the website, the wig is made with 100% human hair, so it can be dyed, and you can put heat on it. The unit has a lot of body and looks full yet natural.

Note: My stylist added 2-3 small tracks from a previous sew in to the top of my hair to cover up a small spot, since we installed this v-part as a side part wig.

Was It Easy To Apply and Blend?
I went to the salon to have this unit installed and sewn in, but it would be fairly easy to install at home, too. The wig comes with a wide adjustable band and a drawstring. It also has a comb in the back and clips at the top for maximum security. At the salon, my stylist used the clips at the top and sewed down the back of the wig after the adjustable band and drawstring were in place.
Pro Tip: Add Face Framing Layers!
To further customize my wig, my stylist added face-framing layers so the hair would fall nicely into my face (check out how my hair looked fresh out of the salon chair in my TikTok above). She did a great job, and she didn’t take away from the overall length of the unit.
Does It Blend Well With My Hair?
My favorite thing about this unit is how well the texture blends with my hair. Like it’s literally the most seamless blend I’ve had, even as my roots slowly start to revert a week later. I would say the hair has a natural lustre, which mimics how my hair looks when it’s silk-pressed. For reference, I’m a 4B/4A natural, and my hair was blown out and pressed to blend with this unit.
The natural girlies were right about using Yaki Straight hair for sew-ins with leave out.
How Does It Fit? Is It Big-Head Friendly?
When my stylist installed my unit, she mentioned that it looked like it might go on a little snug. She was able to get it to fit comfortably, though. For reference, my head has a 23″ circumference. According to the ISeeHair website, you can reach out to them if you think you might need sizing help.
Does It Shed? What About Matting and Tangling?
I have not experienced any matting or tangling with this hair. However, I am experiencing medium shedding. It would not stop me from purchasing this unit again, because I love how well it blends with my hair and how easy it’s been to maintain.
As a matter of fact, I want the 28″ unit for my birthday hair.
How I Maintain My Hair
This hair has been SUPER easy to maintain. I haven’t needed to use any product in my hair at all since I got my hair done. At night, I roll my hair with 4-5 1″ flexirods, tie a satin scarf around my edges, and throw on a bonnet. In the mornings, I take out the rollers and brush my hair with my unbrush. This is what it looks like right after doing that.
Do you see how well the hair moves and bounces?! Getting face-framing layers added is the cheat code!
Does It Hold a Curl?
Yes! I think it helps that the unit came pre-curled and was shipped rolled on a flexirod. So this helped train the hair to hold a curl. When I got my hair done, the stylist added more curls as she curled my own hair to blend. I haven’t needed to re-curl my hair at all since I got it done a week ago.
Using flexirods every night helps me wake up with bombshell curls in the mornings. They fall into a nice loose curl by the end of each evening, but the hair certainly never just looks straight.
