I love a good highlighted wig, and when I saw this one by Tinashe Hair, I knew this would be the first unit I bought from there. I purchased their 28″ 6X5 Honey Blonde Balayage Highlight Wig and finally got it installed recently at the salon. Not even gon’ hold you, this has quickly become one of my favorite human hair lace wigs that I’ve purchased. Here’s the tea on this unit!
Details on This Unit
This unit is a 6X5 HD swiss lace closure wig with 180% density. It looks realistically full with 5″ of deep parting and a 6″ pre-plucked hairline. This closure wig comes in a bunch of different lengths, ranging from 16-30″. I got mine in 28″, and I want it in 30″ too. If you’re not a closure girly, it also comes as a 13X6 frontal wig.
Does It Shed? What About Matting and Tangling?
I’ve had it installed for almost a week now, and I barely see any shedding. At best, I’ve seen a strand once in a while, but that’s it. My units from ISeeHair shed way more than this, so I’m very happy with this one. The hair has a very silky texture, so I currently don’t plan to do any leave-out when I wear it.
This unit is big-head friendly. While I’m wearing it as a glue install, it can also be worn as a glueless wig.

What I Ask for At the Salon (Extra Customization)
@flyfiercefab POV: you finally ordered that TikTok wigβ¦ and it DID NOT disappoint ππ₯ The length? The color? The way it holds a curl?! Yeah @tinashehair ate DOWN. π WIG DETAILS | 28β Balayage Honey Blonde Highlight 6×5 Closure HD Lace If youβve been seeing this wig everywhereβ¦ this is your sign π. I tagged the unit on this video π #tinashehair #wigtok #blackgirlhair #wiginstall #tiktokpartner β¬ Of Joy – DJ Seinfeld
I brought my wig to the salon a couple of days ahead of time. This way my stylist could bleach the knots (as the wig description doesn’t say it comes pre-bleached) and pluck the hairline to mimic my natural mini widow’s peak. As you can see, my stylist ATE DOWN.
I always ask for extra layers when I have a new wig installed at the salon (for more body and movement), and my stylist knows I love a butterfly cut so that’s what we do.
The Tea On My Salon Wig Install
My stylist put me on to the Ericka J glue, and baby I’M SOLD. I’m a hot sleeper, so the regular one doesn’t really last too long for me (after a couple of days, my wig started to slide). We tried the Sport version this time, my unit is still locked in. I love it so much, I bought the Peach Sport Lace Trio (it comes with the glue, glue remover, and skin protectant) so I can always make sure I have it on deck. To melt the lace, she also put me on to this Lace Melting Spray by The Frontal Queen. It literally makes my lace disappear.
You can grab either of these products on Amazon or TikTok (TikTok shipped the glue to me wayyyy faster than Amazon).
How I Maintain My Wig Install
Being a hot sleeper, I wanted to find the best way to wrap my hair so my lace stays locked in. What works best for me is wrapping my edges (over the lace) with a satin scarf/headband, rolling my hair with flexirods (to maintain my curls), and then putting my extra-large satin bonnet on top.
When I take my hair down in the morning, I finger-comb my hair and then use my FHI Heat Unbrush for the top of my hair.
How I Keep My Hair Smelling Amazing
I use the Amika Hair + Body Mist whenever I want to give my hair a lil refresh. It’s a nice light citrusy scent that doesn’t overpower any of my fragrance combos. You can grab it on Amazon, Sephora, or Ulta.
