Looking for some spring nail inspo that you can do at home? I got you! Here’s how I did these green ombre lotus flower spring nails. Ever since I got the lotus flower nail stickers, I’ve been wanting to do a cute green and pink nail set with them. I finally got the time to do my nails, and I love how they came out.
Check out my step-by-step nail tutorial below to see how I did my nails at home!
The Nails I Used
I used the Aprés long natural almond gel-x nails to make this press on nails set. For long almond nails, I prefer the Aprés nails because they’re shaped really well. I purchased the nails here on Amazon.
As these are plain nails, I started by applying one coat of Beetles base gel and curing it under my nail lamp for 90 seconds (to prep for polish).
Green Cat-Eye Ombre Nails
For my base color, I used two coats of DND #879 Sunset Suede. Then, I used two coats of this green melon cat eye gel polish by Born Pretty to do an ombre design on the nails.
I used this nail brush for the ombre effect and this magnet to activate the cat eye design.
Gold Metallic Gel Polish & Lotus Nail Stickers

These lotus flower nail stickers that I got on SHEIN were the main inspiration for my spring nails. Before I applied them, I wiped my nails down with rubbing alcohol on a lint-free nail wipe. This helps them stick better. After applying them, I used the tip of a nail art sculpture pen to help press them down on my nails.
Also, I used gold metallic paint gel polish on a long nail art brush to outline the nails and add random designs. I also added some small gold rhinestones using builder gel (making this my last step on these nails, before top coat).
Pink Cat Eye Nails
For my pink cat eye nails, I applied two shades of a light pink gel polish by Beetles as a base. Then I used two coats of the pink holographic rainbow cat eye polish that I used to do my pink birthday nails.
My Favorite Top Coat
To finish off my nails, I applied one coat of this Gaoy top coat. I love how shiny it makes my nails, and I’ve never had an issue with it peeling, etc.
How I Make MY Press On Nails Last

I try to make sure I prep my natural nails well, to make sure my press on nails stay on as long as possible. I show how I prep my nails in my tutorial below, and you can check out this blog post for more details.
If you want to try making your own press on nails, or doing your nails at home, check out my Amazon storefront! I get all my nail stuff on Amazon for the most part.
