Holiday Outfit on a Budget: $40 Glam Cutout Fashion Nova Dress

I recently got all dressed up for a girls night out, and I knew this fitted tan maxi dress (called the “fuzzy chic ribbed maxi dress” which I got on sale for $40, the regular price is $55) with the fringe sleeves would be the perfect outfit. Also, it’d be a fabulous, sexy yet classy holiday outfit too. I could definitely see myself wearing this dress somewhere nice on New Year’s Eve. The cutout in the center makes it sexy (especially with that gold chain detail!), but the length of the dress and the fringe give it an elevated feel.

How Does It Fit?

It’s made of a ribbed material, so it’s stretchy yet fitted (the sleeves are a little snug going on, though). I got the dress in a size small, which is my usual size on Fashion Nova. For reference, I’m 5’9″, and as you can see, it’s long enough for me.

This dress also comes in black and in a mini option (in either chocolate or black). Either of the longer options would make for a great holiday party outfit. I got so many compliments on this dress, I ain’t even gon’ hold you, y’all gon’ see me in it again.

Because the dress makes a statement all on its own, I kept the rest of my look simple. I wore gold platform heels, gold hoops, and my trusty cream YSL clutch. I would style this look the same way if I were wearing it as a holiday outfit to a festive yet elegant event. Except I’d probably do a rhinestone ring stack, and these gold and rhinestone heels I have from Amazon (to add more sparkle).
