BTArtBox gifted me the blue French tip nails and some other products I’m using in this tutorial. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Shades of icy blue and cool blue are going to be a huge trend this year. What better way to hop on the trend than a cute set of blue french tip nails? BTArtBox gifted me this set of their short almond nails, which comes with five sets of nails, each in a different shade of blue. You can apply them as a set done in one color, or mix and match. Check out my tutorial below to see how I made these press on nails step-by-step!
The Nails I Used
I used the short almond nails, with the brown base (there is a pink base option too). You can grab them here on Amazon or here on the BTArtBox website. I typically don’t wear short almond nails, as I have to cut my natural nails down so they look good. While I did cut my natural nails down for this set, I think they came out so cute!
They come in Other Shapes & Styles Too!
BTArtBox makes their blue French tip nails in a few different lengths and shapes. I really like how the long square nails look, and I wish they had a long almond version available too.
Builder Gel & Top Coat
After wiping them down with rubbing alcohol, I applied one coat of BTArtBox builder gel and top coat. I cured each coat for 60 seconds under my nail lamp.
What’s In My Nail Prep Routine
I’ve been using a new nail prep routine recently, and it’s been working pretty well. I start by wiping my nails down with rubbing alcohol and applying two coats of nail strengthener. Then, I buff my natural nails with a 240 grit nail buffer. Next, I applied Apres pH Bonder (dehydrator) and Primer, before I glued on my nails using the new BTArtBox nail glue.
I let my nails dry for at least an hour before I get my hands wet. For best results, I do my nails right before bed so the glue can fully dry and lock in before I get my hands wet.
Finishing Touches
Once the glue is completely dry, I apply cuticle oil as a finishing touch. BTArtBox sent me their Nutri Forte Cuticle Oil a while back, and it feels so rich and luxurious when I apply it.
