You know that dress you’ve been waiting to get a reason to wear? Well, this Gia Leopard Lace Maxi Dress from Fashion Nova was mine. I recently went to a birthday party in Newport, and it seemed like the perfect time to finally wear this dress. I’ve noticed a trend in leopard and lace maxi dresses this fall, and this one from Fashion Nova is a great affordable option. I’m wearing it in a size small, and it fits true to size. Here’s how I styled it for my night out!
What I Wore Underneath

Since the dress has a see-through lace section close to the butt, I wore a pair of skintone spandex shorts from Primark underneath. This way I could dance and move comfortably without having to worry about showing what I ain’t wanna show. Also, since the cups of the dress have underwire, I couldn’t wear a strapless bra underneath. So I wore my trusty nipple covers. This set by Cakes (which I also have) is very similar to the ones I wore under the dress.
The Statement Jacket

Fur and leather are two fly girl fall essentials. This cropped faux leather jacket with fur trim (previously gifted years ago by Pretty Little Thing) brings them both together. Since my jacket was brown, I added a brown quilted faux leather purse. In hindsight, I would have switched to black. For heels, I went with my gold platform sandals by Jessica Simpson.
Details Are Everything

To accent the warm tones in the dress, I wore gold accessories. I wore a gold and rhinestone layered cross and chain necklace, my fave Amazon gold rhinestone bangles, and gold rings. I also wore my go-to gold aviator sunglasses (because are you really a fly girl without a fly pair of shades?).
