Girls, we ARE SO BACK. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show went down on Sunday, and it was so tea. I decided to hop on TikTok live before the show to do a little “Pressed Pregame” and make a set of press on nails inspired by the show. Here’s what I used to make these Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show inspired press on nails!
The Nails I Used
I used the natural long square extra thick nails by Novo Ovo to make these Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show-inspired press on nails. When using these nails, I always start off with a coat of base coat to prep them for polish.
How To Do Privacy Screen Nails
I wanted to incorporate some lingerie-inspired elements into this nail set, and my first thought was to add lace. Also, I’ve been wanting to try privacy screen nails for awhile and this seemed like the perfect time. To do these privacy screen nails, I started by applying two coats of black gel polish (curing each coat for 60 seconds). Next, I applied two coats of cat eye gel polish by Gaoy, and shifted all the magnetic particles to the center of my nails. I used the “Max Magnet” by Kokoist for this, and it’s hands down the strongest magnet I’ve ever tried for cat eye gel polish.
Next, I applied these black lace nail foils from SheIn on top of the nails using the Beetles Nail Art Foil Glue. I applied one coat of the Nail Foil Art Glue, cured it for 60 seconds, then pressed the nail foil on top using a silicone nail tool. After pressing it down really well, I lifted the foil off to reveal the transferred design.
Angel Wings Accent Nails
Pink Aura & Rhinestone Accent Nail
For my pink aura nail with the rhinestone wings, I used two coats of Elegant Pink by DND Gel as the base color. Then, I did the aura nail art by using this pat pat jelly gel polish palette from Amazon. I freehanded the wing design by mixing silver holographic chrome powder with some top coat. Then I covered the wing design with 2mm AB crystal rhinestones using builder gel.
Silver Holographic Accent Nail
For the silver holographic accent nails, I also used the “Elegant Pink” gel polish as my base color. Then I applied one coat of Beetles no wipe top coat, and cured it under my lamp for 10 seconds (because after a lot of trial and error, that’s what works best with my lamp) and buffed in the silver holographic chrome powder. After fully curing for an additional 60 seconds, I wiped away the excess chrome powder. I repeated the top coat and chrome powder process, so my nails got two layers of the chrome powder in total.
For the angel wing design, I freehanded it again using “French Tips” gel polish by DND Gel.
Top Coat
To finish off my nails, I applied my fave top coat by Gaoy. I cured it for 60 seconds under my nail lamp.
How To Make Your Press On Last (At Least Two Weeks!)
Do you have trouble getting your press on nails to stay pressed on? It’s probably you’re nail prep routine sis. To make sure my press on nails stay on as long as possible, I make sure to prep my natural nails really well. I show how I prep my nails in my tutorial below, and you can check out this blog post for more details.
