I recently visited Minneapolis, Minnesota, and got to spend roughly 48 hours in town. You already know ya girl was looking for three things: food, fun, and shopping.
The Best Place to Stay In Minneapolis
I stayed at the Minneapolis Marriot City Center (check out my room and the view in my idea pin below), and I highly recommend you check it out if you’re looking for a place to stay in the area. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are super spacious and sleek, and it’s within walking distance of many great stores. Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack were literally on the same street, so I was all set.
I had a relaxing stay, and since their internet TVs allow you to connect to Netflix, I caught up on my shows and ordered a *lot* of Door Dash. The staff was great and super helpful when I reached out with some questions on things in my room. So if you’re looking for a place to stay that gives an affordable luxury vibe, this is it.
Where To Shop in Minnesota
Now you can’t go to Minnesota and not go to the Mall of America. This isn’t a regular mall by any means. It’s roughly 4-5 floors, and it has the Nickelodeon Universe amusement park inside. It’s HUGE. There are a lot of great stores and restaurants in the Mall of America, and I stopped in H&M, Zara (this is where I bought a lot of the pieces in my fall Zara haul), Marshalls, and Nordstrom. According to the mall’s website, masks are currently encouraged for all visitors, both vaccinated and unvaccinated.
I also stopped in the Twin Cities Premium Outlets (not too far from the Mall of America) to check out the deals. I bought a really cute purse and wallet in the Michael Kors outlet there, and Steve Madden had some fire shoes too!
The Best Place for Brunch
I did some research on TikTok (because that’s where you have to go for the real tea), and I saw this beautiful cafe called Thirty Six Cafe. I immediately added it to my list of places to go while in Minnesota, and I was not disappointed. It’s got a pink and floral aesthetic, and my banana foster souffle pancakes were oh so good. So if you’re looking for a place with great breakfast options and will look great in all your pictures, you have to go here.
I mean, do you see that beautiful pink phone booth with the flowers? Definitely making it a point to go back the next time I visit.
Have you ever been to Minnesota or the Mall of America? Where are some of your favorite places to eat there? Let me know in the comments!
Stylishly Yours,
Theresa Seyi
