Baccarat Rouge 540 v.s. Cloud By Ariana Grande

I recently ordered a sample set from Maison Francis Kurkdjian, so I could try Baccarat Rouge 540 (Retail $325). It’s often hailed as one of the best luxury perfumes for women, and I’ve wanted to try it for ages. The only issue is that we don’t have any luxury stores in my state, where I could check it out. So when I found out that I could order a sample set of 4 from MFK for $16, I was hype. Especially since they also send you a code, to put the sample set $$ towards a bottle of perfume.

Baccarat Rouge 540 v.s. Cloud by Ariana Grande

I heard a while back that Cloud by Ariana Grande (Retail $44) was a great dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540. This prompted me to buy Cloud (which I love), and I figured I’d get the Baccarat sample to see what’s tea. After I finally got to try Baccarat Rouge 540, I can confirm that Cloud is a really good dupe for Baccarat. They smell veryyyyyy similar. The only thing it’s missing is the slight woody note in Baccarat, as Cloud plays more on the sweet notes in BR. Most would not be able to tell the difference.

Outfit Details

I wanted to style a classy outfit, using budget-friendly (and designer-inspired pieces). When I saw this blue and white contrast dress on AliExpress for $17, I had to have it. It’s a really cute body con mini dress in a classic style. The dress is very short though, so I will most likely style it under jackets and blazers. I saw that a few Ali Express sellers carry this dress, and the one that I chose sells it as a “one size fits all” item.

To play up the classic vibe of the dress, I styled the dress with these Blue Mach & Mach-inspired heels from Ego Official ($38). I added a Dior-inspired scarf I found on Etsy, and one of my trusty blazer dresses from Zara. The goal was to put together a look inspired by Cloud by Ariana Grande, so that meant incorporating the blue and white color palate.
