Chic on a Budget: $32 Early Fall Pleated Skirt Outfit

I went into Rainbow the other day, and saw this $32 pleated skirt outfit that I wanted from their website. Belted pleated skirts in this style have been popular for a hot minute, and I’ve seen similar styles for 3-4X the price at other stores. The pleated skirt and matching belted vest come in three colors, with each piece retailing for $15.97. Here’s how I’d style it as an early fall outfit, and transition it into fall as well.

How Does The Outfit Fit?

I got both the skirt and the vest in a size Medium, typically I’m a US size 4. The skirt is a little big at the waist, but if I went down a size it would have been shorter.

How To Style It For Early Fall

For an early fall outfit, I styled the belted halter vest and matching pleated skirt by themselves. They’re made of a lightweight material, so they can still be worn in warmer weather. I added my favorite lace-up nude patent platform heels, Amazon aviator shades, my Louis Vuitton toiletry pouch, and a matching Louis Vuitton monogram bandeau (worn in my hair as a bow). Sticking to a nude and neutral color palette helps to elevate this look.

How To Style It For Later In The Fall

I’d style this outfit with a button-down shirt underneath to transition it into a full-on fall outfit. Additionally, I’d add a cute beret and knee-high boots that align with the nude and neutral color palette.
