I upgraded to the iPad Air M4 because I needed a lot more storage space for editing and creating content. Previously, I had the 5th Generation iPad Air M1 in Pink, and this one runs so much faster and smoother. My iPad is a travel essential for me to get work done when I’m on the go. Productivity is super important to me, so I need to be able to edit content, plan content and events, take meetings, stay organized, etc. on the go. So I set my iPad up to meet all my needs when I don’t have my MacBook Pro with me. I don’t want to have to slow down just because I don’t have my laptop on me.

My iPad Air M4 Specs
I got the 11-inch iPad Air M4 with 1 TB of storage space in the color Starlight directly from Apple. Coming from a 256 GB 5th Generation iPad Air, this was a nice upgrade. I mainly use my iPad to edit videos, pictures, plan content, etc. So I really needed more storage space to be able to edit all my content. If you’re a student, be sure to ask about the education pricing at Apple to save some coins.
The new iPad Air M4 also has 12 GB of RAM, which means you can do a lot more at once without slowing down. So if multitasking and productivity are important for you (especially for the digital planner or content creator iPad girlies), simply put: oh baby, it’s LIT. It’s super lightweight, and the display is nice and crisp. Also, it runs much faster and smoother than my previous iPad Air.
My Go-To iPad Screen Protector
One of the first things I buy for any of my devices is a screen protector. I like to protect my investments to make sure I don’t accidentally scratch them up or damage them. I always like to do a screen protector with a paperlike feel on my iPad, so I have a smoother experience when I’m using my Apple Pencil on it (which I use all the time to edit content, design press on nails, etc.). This one from Amazon is magnetic, so it pops right on and can be easily removed. I like that it doesn’t interfere with the crispness of my display. This is important because I edit all my short-form videos and pictures on my iPad, so I gotta see what it’s really giving.
iPad Back Camera Protector
This time around, I decided to also get a back camera protector for my iPad. I found this one on Amazon that matches my Starlight iPad Air M4 exactly, fits perfectly, and was super easy to install.
Which Apple Pencil Works With The iPad Air M4?
I quickly realized that I couldn’t use my previous Apple Pencil (the second-generation Apple Pencil) with the new iPad Air M4, so I got the Apple Pencil Pro as well. The Apple Pencil is important for me because I use it to help me precisely edit my videos and photos on my iPad on a daily basis.
Pink Keyboard and Trackpad iPad Air Case
I got the same kind of pink keyboard and trackpad iPad case that I had on my previous iPad Air. I like this kind of case because it allows me to use it like an iPad and also swivel the screen to use it like a laptop with the keyboard and trackpad. This is perfect for when I’m taking meetings, planning content and events, and it was super handy in grad school too. My only complaint about this case, is that there’s a tiny bit of space around my iPad Air M4 once it’s inside. Not enough to where it’s moving around a lot, but I do have to nudge it up slightly in order to use Touch ID once my iPad Air M4 is in the case. Not a huge problem, but it’s a little annoying.
My iPad Carrying Case: It’s giving LUXURYYYY
I love a nice carrying case for my iPad or laptop, and this pink faux leather laptop case by GlamAHolic Lifestyle (a fabulous Black-owned brand) is probably the nicest one I’ve ever owned. Honestly, it reminds me of my YSL monogram clutch. The material both inside and outside of the laptop case feels super luxurious, and I love that is has pockets inside for my iPad Accessories (like my Apple Pencil Pro, the charger, and things like my SD card reader, etc.). I got this laptop case in the smaller 13-inch option, and it comes in a bunch of different colors.
