I may have the same 24 hours in a day as Beyonce, but I don't have Queen B's team. In fact, I am my team. So in order for me to get it all done, ya girl has to be well organized. In college, I was a triple major (B.S. Biology, B.A Music, B.A Theatre, cum laude), while holding down two jobs so I'm no stranger to juggling. I now work full time in a lab, am working to build my brand as a[...]
When Beyoncé (Giselle-Knowles Carter) said "if you don't jump to put jeans on, baby you don't feel my pain" baby, I FELT THAT. I'm a tall girl, and I have a curvy shape. Thick athletic thighs (thanks to all those years of dance and gymnastics), and I ain't even 'gon hold you the peach be peaching. While these are all great things for my self-love parade, these are things that make it[...]
When I say I'm in my bag, *this* is the bag I mean. Speaking of being in your bag, one of my goals this year is to secure multiple bags. This means that not only do I have to put in that work, but I also have to actively work on learning more about the best way to manage my money. Growing up I didn't learn a whole lot about money management and financial literacy. I've always been[...]
This post is not sponsored, but it does contain an item that was gifted to me by Miss Lola. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I had originally seen this satin green leopard print top in Zara a few months back, and for some reason didn't get it when I saw it. Thankfully I was able to find it in my size during the Zara sale, and I scooped it up immediately. The top is currently sold[...]
The year was 2014. All my favorite black beauty girls on YouTube were starting to talk more about wigs, and do hair reviews on their channels. Intrigued, I did a ton of research and bought me some hair. I splurged on some "Brazillian Natural Curl" bundles and a closure, and a straight clip-in piece from another company (which was a whole mess. Whew chile), I sat down and recorded[...]
I ain't even gon' hold you, ya girl used to be a lash snob. If it wasn't Iconic, Queen B, Honey B, Miami, etc. I wasn't trying to hear you. Until one day when I was binge-watching makeup tutorials, one of my fave beauty influencers was talking about some lashes she bought on eBay (a pack of 5, for 0.99 and they were cute!). Intrigued, I bought a bunch, and while they were super cute ([...]
This post is not sponsored, but it does contain some items that were gifted to me from Miss Lola. All thoughts and opinions are my own. When I tell you that my white blazer dress and this ivory fedora got me feeling like Oliva Pope. Feeling like whatever I face is handled. Feeling like my time and presence must be earned?! (Y'all remember that episode when she told Fitz to earn her? W[...]
Black women in luxury seems to be a hot topic recently on social media, and honestly, there's nothing that I personally love more than seeing black women living their best luxurious lives. I stan, I aspire, and I'm saving my coins to get what I want haha. I have quite a few things on my luxury wishlist, some are on the lower end of the price range ($$$, a few Virgil's)[...]
This post is not sponsored, however, it does feature an item that was gifted to me from Miss Lola. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was recently looking for some bomb black-owned fashion brands to shop with and decided to utilize my favorite resource: black twitter. During my search, I came across a tweet about a brand called Syxx Brand and immediately found an item I've been t[...]
I've been on the hunt for more black-owned fashion brands to support, and when I came across the Designer Inspired Onesies (Retail: $45 USD) on Every Girlz Obsession (E.G.O), I had to have one. Or two. I ordered this cute Dior inspired onesie, and the black Chanel inspired onesie (pictures coming soon). While yes they are intended to be sleepwear (super cute sleepwear might I add)[...]
